Religion of Kindness

Thank you Art and Robin for that wonderful term! (You know who you are; we won't glorify you other than to say 'thank you').

We always try to do the best we can - individually, or together, we've always tried to go that extra mile in helping others in any way we can... and especially those less fortunate. That's one of the things that bonds us in RPM - a viewpoint of caring - like those songs of the late sixties.

'Think of your fellow man... Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart'

Jackie DeShannon, Randy Myers, Jimmy Holiday

There's never a shortage of worthy causes - and especially now. But there's one thing we can all agree on - homelessness is a condition that should not even exist in our 'great society' of today. We see pictures and video of adults as homeless - but there are countless children that are homeless too. And for a child, an innocent and vulnerable being, homelessness is not only morally reprehensible, but something that we, as a people (who should care for our brethren regardless of colour or race), need to completely eradicate this problem from our society. Until then, we can provide some comfort.

We've chosen Covenant House in Vancouver, Canada to focus attention on...and to give them what we can. This is a worthy organization that needs whatever assistance we or anyone can offer to help give a purpose to the homeless youth they take in. We're vowing to give a significant portion of any licensing sync fees this library can earn - and we urge others who may benefit from their music in our library to join us - pay it forward as it were. We urge everyone to visit Covenant House (click on the image) and help if you're able. That's our 'religion of kindness' in a nutshell.    Meg & Ron
