The Project... Continued
Though we haven’t posted much online in a while, it doesn’t mean we haven’t been active. Some who’ve listened to a few of our latest productions have asked where these songs came from and what inspired their revival. Many originated years ago as writer demos recorded with the limited tools of the time - simple drum machines, basic synths, and early multi-track setups. Uncovering these old demos inspired us, for we have an interest in the songs coinciding with our mandate to build our catalogue. With today’s technology, especially AI-driven “demixing” that can separate instruments and vocals from old mixes, we’ve been able to lift those recordings apart, clean them up, and rebuild them from the ground up. (Following are a few re-produced tracks, now revived for our catalogue and entry to the marketplace). |

Using a blend of modern production tools and AI restoration, we re-tracked most instruments, replaced dated sounds, and sometimes kept the original lead vocals that carried the emotional core of each song. Though there was a significant learning curve in the art of properly 'demixing' with AI, once learned we were able to separate old embedded mixes, harvesting stems or tracks of the old songs as if we had the original master tapes at hand! With independent tracks/stems, we were able to then re-track bass parts, replace old drum machines for realistic drum samples, replace or add to its existing Background vocals virtually limitless production potential. One old demo evolved into a duet (Finally Getting Over You), all with fuller arrangements; others simply gained a fresh sense of space and life. Another, currently in production, was a male-oriented-only song - recrafting the lead vocal, Meg Evans is turning this song into a female-oriented song - and all this creates a new life for old recordings, reproduced in recording standards of today. It’s been both a technical and creative journey - breathing clarity and new energy into recordings that had waited decades for another listen. We're ecstatic over adding these new-found, rebuilt tracks for addition to ours catalogue and we hope you enjoy hearing them as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing them back to life! |
